After successfully exporting pineapples and lemons to Middle-east countries, yesterday, the first consignment of Tripura jackfruit were sent away to be exported to the United Kingdom. Dr Phani Bhusan Jamatia, director of horticulture, said that the consignment of 350 jackfruit were sent to Guwahati via train on Thursday, after which they will be exported to the United Kingdom via Delhi.
