Fruit-Inform reports that since the beginning of the 2015/16 season Kazakhstan has been reducing its apple imports; now imports of the fruit have reached a 5-year low.
Kazakhstan imported 64,000 tons of apples in the July 2015 March 2016, period, signifying a decrease of 40% compared with the same period of the previous season, when imports totaled 105,000 tons.
Poland is still the leading apple exporter to Kazakhstan despite a year-on-year decrease of 27% in shipments. Kazakhstan purchased j
