The stores operating in the shopping centers generate around 500 million in yearly sales.
The rents for the 12 shopping centres are around 30 million, said Ziarul Financiar.
Real hypermarkets were previously located in all the shopping centres.
Auchan purchased the Real business in the country from German group Metro last year.
The 2013 deal included 20 Real hypermarkets of the 24 in the country.
Auchan operates 31 hypermarkets in Romania.
