The U.S. Department of Agriculture in its World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates projected U.S. sugar carryover on Oct. 1, 2013, at 2,358,000 short tons, raw value, up 91,000 tons, or 4%, from 2,267,000 tons as the February projection and up 373,000 tons, or 19%, from 1,985,000 tons in 2012.
