3rd Dairy Asia Pacific Summit 2016

The dairy industry has undergone profound changes in recent years, as consumer demand for new products, in conjunction with research and development in additives, ingredients, milk power, and probiotics, have resulted in a radically different marketplace. In addition, dairy companies across the Asia Pacific region have had to grapple with new regulations, and greater government oversight of food safety.
In the wake of such changes, Duxes held the 3rd Dairy Asia Pacific Summit 2016, on November 15-18 in Singapore, with great success. More than 200 delegates from across the dairy industry gathered to discuss innovative, and popular dairy products among consumers, successful marketing cases and strategies, safety and quality control best practices, research and development trends, and other topics at the forefront of the industry. Among those attending were executives for prominent enterprises in the dairy industry, representatives from industry associations, and government officials in charge of regulating the dairy industry.
The summit featured four full days of content; the pre-event, November 15th, focused on packaging trends and development within the dairy industry, and included detailed testimony regarding technical issues, from representatives of companies and the Indonesian Packaging Federation. The first day of the summit covered pertinent topics affecting the dairy industry in the Asia Pacific region. Companies across the supply chain, from producers, such as Sanyuan, Fonterra, and Meiji, to downstream user, Starbucks China, comprehensively analyzed important considerations from their respective vantage points. The summit’s second and third days featured further testimony from companies on niche topics of interest, while also including official analyses from government regulators in the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand. The summit’s final day prominently featured presentations on the role of digitalization and the Internet on the future of the dairy industry.
