      Dear colleagues

      As an important part of the agricultural system, fruits and vegetables have rich yields and a variety of tastes, playing significant roles in guaranteeing and improving people's lives. To reduce fruit resource waste and improve storage stability, promoting modern technologies and equipment for the preservation and storage of fresh fruits and vegetables are necessary.

      “International Training Workshop On Fruits And Vegetables Preservation And Cold Chain Technology” will be held Online from Nov. 21st- Dec. 2nd. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People´s Republic of ChinaMOST) and organized by Jinan Fruit Research Institute all China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives. 

      Theme: International Training Workshop On Fruits And Vegetables Preservation And Cold Chain Technology

      Main Lectures:

      1. The quality affections of fruits/vegetable Bio-characters in the pre-and-post harvesting;

      2. Preservation principles methods and control parameters;

      3. Preservations and storage techniques for different varieties of fruits and vegetables like apples, pears, oranges, bananas, mangos, onions, gingers etc; introduce the relevant technologies; introduce different preservation packages, ingredients and usages;

      4. Preservation, transportation and cold chain logistics facilities, tools and how to select and in applications;

      5. Processing and quality evaluation techniques;

      6. Traceability system of fruit and vegetable quality control.

      Practical Sessions (Online):

      1. Visit cold chain logistics ;

      2. Visit the fruit and vegetable processing production line.

      Applicants Qualification

      1. Bachelor's degree or up;

      2. In the field of fruit /vegetable businesses;

      3. Vice President for Research or Dean of Research Management Divisions or International Cooperation Divisions; 

      4. Be capable of speaking and writing in English;

      5. Be in good health.

      1. Applicants should register online before November 4th. Online registrationhttps://mostitp.cistc.gov.cn/student_login.aspx on step 2, in the first “training workshops selection” box, please select: “2005, international training workshop on Fruit and Vegetable Preservation and Cold Chain Technology” then fill all the required information and submit;

      2. Please complete the enclosed application form and attachments return back to the organizer. Email address: fruitworkshop@126.com. Attachment list: (1) Resume; (2) Employment certificate; (3) Academic certificates; (4) Identity card; (5) Report on the development of domestic fruit and vegetable storage, cold chain, and processing industry; (6) Cooperation foundation and potential cooperation direction with China;

      Registration fee is not necessary.

      Certificate

      Participants who have completed study successfully in the training workshop will be awarded a certificate issued by the Department of International Cooperation of MOST.
